INHALER aerosol analysis unit
Request a quoteOverview
INHALER is a versatile adapter for developing and investigating metered dose inhalers (MDI), dry powder inhalers (DPI), nebulizers and newer designs such as Soft Mist inhalers. Combined with the compact HELOS/BR it determines size distributions of droplet mists and solid aerosols from 0.25 to 875 µm.
The unit comprises a base unit with measuring chamber and a software-controlled vacuum control unit that regulates volumetric flow. A tilt compensation feature aligns nebulizers with slanting mouthpieces. System components include fitted mouthpiece holders, an extension cylinder for the mouthpiece-to-measurement distance, a 90° glass bend simulating the throat, a pre-separator for DPIs to separate carrier from active ingredient (fine particle fraction), and a Venturi meter for air throughput.
