Request a quoteOverview
SPRAYER is a versatile adapter for characterising droplet size in the spray cones of nasal and pharyngeal pump sprays with the HELOS laser diffraction sensor. Because results depend on how the spray is triggered, force, stroke velocity, distance to the measuring zone and bottle tilt, the actuation is performed under controlled conditions.
The intelligent SMACTOR actuator supports stroke-acceleration and force-controlled actuation and simulates manual release, with user-assignable acceleration, maximum velocity, path length, maximum force and rise time. Sensor-monitored positioning aligns the bottle to the laser beam, the nozzle-to-laser distance is software controlled, and the whole process is monitored by PAQXOS for evaluation. A rotor variant is listed with HELOS/BR.
