Overview

Product overview

The QuasIR 2000E is Galaxy Scientific’s on-line process FT-NIR. External projection optics use high-powered tungsten lamps to illuminate material from 18 to 30 inches away and collect the scattered reflection through a fiber-optic cable. Spot size can be set from 3 to 6 inches (and tailored further) so the measurement matches the conveyor, pipe, chute, web, or hopper.

The spectrometer still uses PermAlign interferometer optics, so results stay repeatable where other interferometers drift. It integrates with common process-control and chemometric software. Ruggedised enclosures, alarms, and I/O can be specified for outdoor or classified areas. Typical uses include mixing, drying, curing, baking, polymerisation, and in-process concentrations in food, recycling, mining, and web processing.

Al-Shaker specifies the 2000E when QC must sit on the line, not in a grab-sample laboratory.
