Overview

Product overview

The QuasIR 3000 is Galaxy Scientific’s FT-NIR for solids. An integrating sphere presents powders, grains, feed, forage, and similar samples over a 23 mm sampling area — up to five times larger than many compact NIR instruments — through a scratch-resistant sapphire window. Transflectance covers opaque liquids and pastes. An optional plug-and-play spinner improves results on inhomogeneous materials.

Good NIR starts with sampling volume. The larger spot is why the 3000 is used widely in food and agriculture, where a small window would miss the sample. PermAlign optics keep the instrument aligned so calibrations transfer across a QuasIR fleet. Spectral Sage and the Automatic Performance Testing Unit support daily QC.

Al-Shaker specifies the QuasIR 3000 for solids-first laboratories, and the QuasIR 4000 when the same site also needs a liquid transmission chamber.

Features

Key features

  • 01

    23 mm integrating sphere

Larger sampling area and volume for powders, grains, and inhomogeneous solids.

  • 02

    Transflectance for pastes

Opaque liquids and pastes on the same portable chassis as the solids sphere.

  • 03

    Optional sample spinner

Plug-and-play accessory to average inhomogeneous samples instead of chasing a lucky spot.
