Equipment guide
Particle size analysers measure the size distribution (and sometimes shape) of powders, suspensions and sprays. Laser diffraction covers roughly sub-micron to millimetre sizes quickly; image analysis adds shape. Choose by size range, whether the sample is dry or wet, and the standards you follow.

Laser diffraction (ISO 13320) for fast distributions, dynamic image analysis for size and shape, dynamic light scattering for nanoparticles.
Match the instrument's range to your smallest and largest particles; many samples need a wide range to avoid truncating the distribution.
Dry dispersion suits free-flowing powders and avoids solvents; wet dispersion suits suspensions and fine or sticky powders.
Micro-dosing and automatic sample feeders improve repeatability and throughput in routine QC.
Choose a platform with validated, documented methods so results correlate between laboratory and process.
Each range is supplied with installation, operator training and local service.
A laser passes through a dispersed sample and detectors record the scattering pattern, which software converts into a particle-size distribution. It is fast, repeatable and standardised in ISO 13320.
Use dry dispersion for free-flowing powders when solvents must be avoided, and wet dispersion for suspensions, very fine powders or samples that need de-agglomeration with ultrasound.
Yes. Al-Shaker supplies Sympatec analysers with installation, operator training and technical support across Jordan and MENA.
